Forget slaving over a hot stove...
...to get your caramel sauce just right. Instead, open a jar of The CANADIAN BIRCH COMPANY's ready-made Birch Whiskey Toffee Sauce and serve as an easy, instant dip for apple slices.
Tip for warming Birch Whiskey Toffee Sauce: This toffee sauce is even better when warm. Our recommendation? Avoid warming in the microwave to keep your Birch Whiskey Toffee Sauce smooth and creamy. Instead, fill a bowl or shallow pan with hot tap water or boiling water from the kettle and rest the jar in the hot water for a few minutes (keep the lid on!). Literally 3 minutes is all you need to get this sauce the perfect consistency especially if you have been storing it in the refrigerator.
Time Saver: Get the toffee sauce warming before you start cutting up the apples. By the time you are done the slicing, the toffee sauce will be ready to go with a quick stir.
The raw sugar gives this dessert a very satisfying crunch. So, so delish and a great way to get some fruit and fibre into your diet.
