The holidays are right around the corner!
And to kick things off, we were invited back to the Marc & Mandy Show to assist in a cooking segment where our pure birch syrups took the stage in a delicious creme caramel recipe! It is always a great time being part of the show...video replay below followed by the recipe!
Recipe: Birch Syrup Creme Caramel (YUM!)
For us December means the end of our product processing for the year and the beginning of our travels to bring our pure birch syrup and small batch gourmet sauces to our customers at holiday markets in the Toronto, Ottawa and Winnipeg Areas.

At left, owner Glenda Hart is nestled in behind The Canadian Birch Company tasting bar at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto (running Nov 27 - Dec 7 this year, booth V51). It is OOAK's 50th Anniversary year! Eleven days of gift buying for the holidays. This is our only event in the Toronto area this year. Save the shipping fees and buy direct from the makers, Rory and Glenda. See you at the Enercare Centre, Booth V-51.
Rory and Glenda will also be in Ottawa - December 10th to 14th - The Originals by Signatures at the EY Centre - Hello Ottawa! Its always a pleasure to revisit the city that was home to Glenda for a few years. Visit us at Booth 224.
The market booth always features the full line up of birch syrups and gourmet small batch products. All make wonderful gifts for the grillers, makers and bakers in your circle of family and friends, mainly because they are delicious and also extremely versatile in the kitchen. Pure birch syrups are an excellent gift for home chefs to add a flavor boost to salad dressings, cheese pairings, marinades, sauces and baking.

New Cozy Christmas Flavors!
As many of you, we delight in Christmas morning with our children and grandchildren. Christmas breakfast is a great opportunity to try new things and introduce fun flavors that can become a part of your tradition for years to come. Our Little Jack packs - Original and Spiced breakfast syrups are classics in our product line all year long, as well as the newly introduced Strawberry Infusion Syrup Blend.
The holidays are special and this calls for the unique flavors of the season...but mostly cookies!! There is nothing like the aroma of baked cookies like gingerbread and sugar cookies in a warm kitchen, to harken the spirit of the season. Cookies and smiles wrapped in kindness can be a theme unto itself in the days leading up to the "big day". At Christmas time both Gingerbread and Sugar Cookie infused sweet birch syrups convey comfort and joy to young and old alike. These flavors are great for breakfast pancakes and also on deserts, in coffee and cocktails as well. Let your imagination soar!
