May I have S'more, please????

S'more ways to snack

As spring continues, and weather grows warmer, we look forward to many relaxing evenings by the firepit in the backyard and at the lake. With the chill in the air in the evening a fire welcomes us and makes us feel cozy but that is rarely enough on its own. A backyard fire must be accompanies by refreshments. Snacks & beverages just seem synonymous with campfires and it is from summer camp and campfires that the most famous camp snack was born...the "S'more". Short for "Some more", the classic marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker sandwich was invented, according to popular consensus on Google, by the Girl Scouts. The first "Some More" recipe appeared in a 1927 edition of the Girl Scout manual Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts.

Traditional s'mores are delicious but we thought why not introduce some other delicious versions with a flavor infusion from Birch? The Canadian Birch Company's Birch Bacon Jam and Birch Whiskey Toffee Sauce lend themselves perfectly to these ridiculously tasty treats. [See recipes below.]

The method for making a s'more is easy and doesn't change no matter what you choose to put in between the yummy crunch of those graham crackers. There is one other constant as well...at least one ingredient that goes in the middle needs to be roasted over the open fire. So sharpen up those roasting sticks and get inspired by these tasty creations...

Basic Method

Each s'more needs two graham crackers. Other ingredients are placed or smeared on one cracker, a roasted item is placed on top and the second cracker caps it all off. Couldn't be easier! And the messier the better.

The following recipes list the ingredients in the order they are applied to the bottom cracker.
